No matter what lancing device you use, your fingers are going to hurt at first. They will eventually toughen up and it won't hurt anymore but at first, you just have to have sore fingers. My "favorite" lancing device is whatever comes with my meter. I use One-Touch meters. IMO, a lancing device, is a lancing device, is a lancing device. On the bright side, know if you ever chose to or need to go on insulin, pricking your finger hurts 10x more than any insulin shot
