They might think you are going to Joslin because you found about that, and have no faith in them anymore. Probably as a group are feeling demoralized and defensive.

I found out something similar about one of our docs ... by asking a wrong question. Felt terrible for the guy -- had nothing but sympathy. Sometimes the suits are strategic and have more to do with patients needing money (like to pay off medical debts) than actual incompetence on anyone's part.

Sorry if I sound like I am defending them, I really do not know their individual situation, but I work in a medical library, have friendships with medical professionals, and I hear both sides of some complicated political stories ... and yes, things ARE that complicated in medical practice.

BMI is down to ca. 25.8



According to Joslin's Diabetes, 2005 ed., 5 - 30% of those diagnosed as Type 2 actually have LADA.
