| I have used skin tac since day 1 of pumping and have to say that it is absolutely fantastic. I swam in the ocean for an hour, have had the thing hanging off of me, have even had the tubing get caught on a door knob and yank really hard on the infusion site. It didn't rip out any of those times.
Bear in mind that if you want to remove the infusion site while using skin tac you have to use uni-solve or a similar product to remove/weaken the adhesive so the site can be removed. It adds a couple steps to the process of putting in an infusion site and to removing it, but the security of knowing that the site is staying put (especially since sites cost $texas!) is well worth it. Also, when removing his site make sure that he uses alcohol wipes to remove the adhesive leftover after you use uni-solve on it. It'll sterilize it and make the adhesive much easier to deal with, as the adhesive sort of becomes a gel after uni-solve is applied.

I don't remember before this but my A1C's were in the 5.7% area before I went to college...
These numbers should improve as I'm no longer trapped by the outrageous school/work schedules of college and will be starting a job with fantastic working conditions soon! |
