that's just weird... i would think a good doctor would agree with the best treatment for you... but i remember a case of a woman who had cancer and her insurance didn't deny her or accept the diagnosis... she had been covered before she got cancer so there shouldn't have been a problem... she died because her health was in "limbo" waiting for her health insurance company to decide on which course of treatment would be better "for her" (actually, which one would be cheaper)... she couldn't do anything about it, because she wasn't denied treatment, the company was just waiting... probably hoping she was going to die before they had to pay anything...

not everyone out there that "should" be helping us is actually helping us... i think that person who wrote you should be clearer about what the meaning in the letter was... since you've had a decision written to you, you have some kind of recourse...
