| A little hummus on a slice or two of cucumber doesn't seem to bother me; perhaps it's the oil content. Chickpeas themselves, however, I find it best to avoid--one of the few 150+ readings I've ever had followed a salad into which Mrs. ShottleBop had mixed an entire (small) can of chickpeas, instead of half of a can. For me, the nonstarchy veggies are a much safer nosh.
