I did not mean this to be harsh to any newcomers to this and yes do follow your Drs. recomendations to start with. You will find out that your requirements will change slightly from day to day and you will find what you can and can't do. I sometimes forget I have been at this for 35 years but I am still learning and certainly don't know it all.
I have seen some seasoned pump users who will not change a setting on their pump. They let the Dr. do this. This is wrong. They will run high or low for days on end until the Dr changes it. You must be in control and be able to adjust accordingly. I'd be at the Dr. every day if I had to wait for him to change things.
