If you cant return to a pump, have you considered Lantus? Its much less peaky and gives a more steady basal than UL. Two other thoughts: How long before UL kicks in and how long does it last for you? Maybe you could switch the UL shot to the morning, that is, if it takes a while to kick in and if it lasts long enough. Have you discussed with your doc?
