Diabetes is a serious condition. It's not the type of disease you can just take a pill for and forget about. It's also not the type of thing you can just forget about and wander thru life uninformed about. Knowledge IS power when it comes to Diabetes. Most of the day to day management of Diabetes is in the hands of the patient. Ever hear the saying "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer"? Learn everything you can. You will find that as you pass time the things that upset you in the beginning aren't as scary as you might expect. And besides, if you don't know what can happen how are you going to prevent it? Hang in there and don't be afraid to learn - you'll be better off for it in the long run.
