I haven’t heard of DAFNE until you mentioned it. I don’t know more than what’s on the web. Some trial on DAFNE has been done in Sweden. But after reading what DAFNE is, I realize that DAFNE is the same as, what I have being doing by myself the last couple of years, with and without support from my diabetes team, but with personal success. I think one need a pump or a modern insulin regime to be successful with this, and you definitely need to use a glucose monitor. On the other hand, it maybe because pump or a modern insulin regime, DAFNE was developed. One can hope diabetes teams adjust more to this approach in the future.

DAFNE = dose adjustment for normal eating
