Taking a nap

Hi Everyone,

Something keeps coming up, and I'm hoping that someone will be able to shed some light on this for me. Often when I go to back yard parties, the host will offer the use of one of the bedrooms "if I need to take a nap". Now, am I missing something here? My doctors/educators, etc, never said anything about me needing to take naps throughout the day, what is this all about? I'm sure it's a well-intended bias based on ancient information, kind of like the "sorry, you can't eat that cake 'cause it has sugar" thing, but I just don't know what the nap thing is based on.....anyone know?

Thanks,
Tyna
