However, thus far, it has been the "miracle" I have been looking for. I am taking it specifically to smooth out a morning resistance I seem to have. My BS spikes pretty high after breakfast and then crashes about 10 or 10:30. So far for me, it has been GREAT. It smooths my mornings out and I have not gone over 130 in the mornings after breakfast or had the dramatic drop later in the morning. .............
This is interesting. I have a similar problem with a strong rise in blood sugars in the morning. If I understand it correctly, Symlin limits the production of hepatic glucose by inhibiting glucagon production. And I can see how it can help control the DP surge.

I haven't tried Symlin yet because it isn't available in this part of the world yet. But I have started using Metformin, which has a similar effect. It is still early days, but there appears to be a significant benefit. I am having to get used to lower insulin/carb and correction ratios.

Cheers,

Mark
