Back from the Dr. Visit

Hi I just got back from the Dr.'s. My bg's are still jumping around, and so he upped my metformin (I take metformin in addition to my humalog: Not just for the Type 2's anymore!) to 1000 mg in the morning, and 500 at dinner. He is still planning on doing the symlin this fall. He says I need to be on the full dose (2000 mg's) in order to get insurance approval for the symlin, and so we are gradually getting there.

Also, I found out what was up with my feet. Ok, so many women would be able to sympathize with this one. You know how you find that one pair of shoes that you wear all the time and that you have owned for years?? Well, I have this pair of black shoes that I just love and I have had them for like 3-4 years. My dr. told me that I am to throw them away when I get home this evening.....Apparently the red spots were broken capallaries in my skin....Not good stuffs....I'm really bumming about it though....

But, I guess it is a small price to pay for good feet
