Explain this? Sugar levels with no insulin

This morning I forgot to re-attach my pump after showering and went out. I didn't get back home until 5 hours later. I didn't eat anything but I was missing my .75 units per hour basil insulin the whole time. When I got home I checked my BG and it was..... 109?! I don't understand how that could be. It's not like I was overly active or excersizing (sp?) while I was out either. Did anyone else ever experience something like this?
