It is unusual for T1s to be taking metformin, and I have never been able to figure out why. What prompted your doctor to put you on it? And what has your experience with metformion been like. It is supposed to stop the liver from producing glucose. Has it it helped reduce those unpredictable spikes?

I see you are on quite a lot of it. Have you have had any gastric discomfort as a result of taking it? I started using metformin a few months ago. It is definitely making blood sugar control a lot easier. But I am struggling with the side-effects!

Cheers,

Mark
