| Switch to Novolog
Well, 24 hours ago I made the switch to Novolog from Humalog in my pump. So far I haven't had to change any basal settings in my pump. Therefore I take it the two are equal in terms of effect. For me I noticed that Novolog acts faster and doesn't cause me to run as high (the peak) two hours after a meal.
Again, this is only a 24 our observation, but to me the two are pretty identical. I think the truth will come in day 3 of using it (since for some reason I seem to run high at 2.5 days of infusion site change.) I am not sure if the high is from the Humalog starting to go bad in the pump from body heat, or from the infusion set needing to be changed.
I'll try to see what happens and give a full and detailed report in a week.
