One rotten diabetic!!

Ok, so living with diabetes for 30 years I've done my share of rotten things. Younger diabetics may not remember but one company put out syringes that actually had the tops come off so you could throw them away when you were done using them.
If found out one day during art class in High School that if you took off the tops and plugged them with clay, then took the plunger all the way back and put the top back on then jammed the plunger forward those needle tops would FLY BABY!!!!
So whats a young kid to do with this new invention? I'll tell you what...shoot em at the movie screen during Social studies.
After 2 days detention I didn't do that anymore.

And just HOW MANY have said when gotten pulled over.........honest officer.....I forgot to take my shot this morning and I'm rushing home to go take it............Hmmmmmmm????

One afternoon about 10 years ago I had been working on the roof all day. Was a hot day out ( yes in Alaska we do have sun and very warm days) I was beat and decided to rest for a few in my recliner then go clean up my mess outside. Needless to say I never made is as I went into a reaction/convulsions in my sleep. When I come to I'm in the middle of the living room floor with paramedics all around me. After getting enough steam to sit up this guy I swear that looks like Barney Fife bends down and asks...... Did you take your insulin today?........I looked at him and said excuse me what?..........Did you take your shot today?......I asked..........Are you #^%(_*$ new or something? Did you happen to sleep during the half hour diabetes talk at paramedic school? Of course I took my shot today or I wouldn't have been in this *&$%((*% mess now would I ???????????
They all got a blank look on their faces......looked at each other then one said.........YEP, he's ok now I think and the rest nodded.
( a week later I took them over a thank you cake and apologized) but we got a good laugh out of it.

So any of you have any funny stories?
