I go through bouts of hunger as well. Usually after a day or two or trying to eat mostly fresh veggies (in my attempt to lose weight). No matter how much fresh veggies I eat, they don't quell the hunger.

Actually, it's not hunger, it's more akin to "drooliness". It's my mouth that has the munchies, not my stomach.

I find that something fatty or a carb like bread will quell it.

I had some thick soups that did the same thing - homemade pasta fazool and squash soup quelled my drools so much I couldn't look at food for hours - a rare feeling indeed for me.
