Iasked my doctor if i can expect my BS being in a lower range like 100 to 110 i been kind of eatting right small meals fruits and veggies and has not dropped from 150 and the highest i seen has been 180 but is it because my weight ?
I would ay first get yourself back to feeling better with this illness. Like everyone else said, it'll run higher when you are sick.

If you average 150-180, it wont really hurt you to be there for a little while till you get over the sickness, then you can try to taper it down.

As far as the weight being the issue, I was refering to you having diabetes at all.

Most of the time when an overweight person is diagnosed, it is becasue their pancreas just cant keep up with thier body size.

I would say just continue to eat like you are and take a few walks a day. You will see a difference in the pounds, and possibly (way down the road) eleminate the diabetes all together. (ofcourse this is IF it IS due to your weight only. Its imposible for me to really diagnose that over an internet forum. I would talk to your doctor about that.)

Anyway, welcome again and good job on taking the first step!
