I can only speak from my own experience but it took me about three weeks before my BG dropped to an exceptable level. One thing I've learned about diabetes is nothing happens fast except hypers and hypos. Try to be patient even though it is aggrivating. Also, it may be a blessing that your levels don't drop too quickly as I felt terrible when my BG first normalized. Seems your body gets used to the high levels and a slow progression is the way to go.

You didn't say anything about your diet but try to watch your carb intake as well.

My two cents anyway..and good luck, I'm sure control is just a week or two away.
