| Wow. I wonder which is better/worse: to get it when you're young, and not have exposure to those types of things? Or get it when you're an adult (I was 24) having had a "normal" childhood, and then have to change your lifestyle? Good question!
Personally, I'm glad I didn't get it 'til I was an adult - I was better able to deal w/ it, I think, than I would have been as a teenager.
If you learn to count carbs, you might be able to "walk on the wild side" every now and then!
