My life

Posted by SweetAndBendy in SweetAndBendy's Blog, 15 July 2014 · 53 views

I have to admit, I haven't tried to blog before, but thought I'd give it a shot (pun intended).
Having had type 1 diabetes for about 9 years, I thought it was about time to write some about my experiences with it.

I am by no means an expert, I just know my own body and my own case of diabetes, and as for experiences I can only talk for myself.

I have...

Carb Crunch

Posted by Elaine1 in Blog Elaine1, 19 February 2014 · 467 views

If the title sounds yummy, like a crunchy granola bar, sorry. What I mean by "crunch" is, like,
a numbers crunch, crunching the carbs - making 'em lower.

One member said they keep their carbs to under 50 per day. I think that is terrific.
It's my goal, too. Yes, it's hard. But well worth the effort. Those bad numbers turn into
good numbers with each pas...

Mine boyfriend likes curvy girls...and that means usually plus sized, but definate shape...weight is less important than curves. Well, now that I am losing we...

What was your postmeal reading (and how long after)?

Posted by Bee in Blog Bee, 09 November 2013 · 149 views

I was pleasantly surprised by the post-meal readings tbh. I checked again before driving - that would have been 3.5 hours post meal and was 5.6 so that seems okay to me. Was going to work so was actually a tad too low, will need to have a wee snack sometime soon as I'm working overnight :)

New Opportunity

Posted by MCS in Blog MCS, 23 October 2013 · 211 views

At the request of my doctor I have begun a new business. Diabetic Health Coaching. My doctor wanted some place he could send his patient's to that could help them understand what is happening to their body. 15 minutes of doctor time is not much when trying to acquire the knowledge it takes to control ones blood glucose levels. I am self employed and ow...

Posted by Kenton in Blog Kenton, 22 June 2013 · 97 views

Fungal infections and Florida seem to go hand in hand and I try to not use toxic stuff on food plants.
I found Actinovate works very very well and organic gardening control of the assorted fungal diseases.
It's a bacteria powder you mix with water and spray the plants with. A 2 oz packet last me all year as a little goes a long way.
And as a bonus it seem...
