| | That's difficult to say not knowing anything about you or your meds. Popcorn and I get along very well. The butter can actually slow down the carbs and spread them out longer. I will go high several hours after eating a large bowl. Can you skip your dinner and have these instead? Do you count carbs? Carbs in Popcorn: Carbohydrates & Popcorn carbs popcorn - Google Search |

| | | I can eat the small, 100 cal. microwave popcorn without problems....movie popcorn doesn't bother me...IF I stick to that same portion amount...if I mindlessly eat while watching the movie, i'll eat too much and go high. We usually get a small bag of buttered pop corn and i'll get a cup from concessions (like they give with the big tubs for sharing) and only eat 1-2 of the small cups.
Usually though we'll just go to lunch or dinner right before the movie so we aren't hungry...less temptation that way.

I am the same way. One of my very favorite things to eat is Movie Popcorn.. I could eat it just about every single day and thankfully, it doesn't bother me.
We went to see Alvin and the Chipmunks Saturday and me and my daughter wiped out a whole tub between us. We skipped lunch though and that was our lunch I guess you could say. lol
I have yet to ever have a reaction from it though. I do think, if I had a reaction, I'd just have to have one with that. I'll give up anything but my popcorn.

| | | I love movie popcorn but I have to give myself soooooo much insulin to cover it ~ it freaks me out. A giant blast up front, a giant blast after it's done, and I STILL rise higher than I like to later. Delicious though eh? I always add the extra butter. I don't go to the theater very often so it's worth the treat sometimes! Have fun!

I love popcorn too. It is so good and goes so well with movies
I am told hot air is better for you but I have a bowl of popcorn with butter and salt every once in awhile. It is my favorite snack. According to my diatician 5 cups of popped pop corn is about 15 carbs. so I love it cause I can have quite a bit.
But again keep in mind everyone's body is different so keep an eye on you bgl. enjoy the movie

I don't think I'd go to the movies if I couldn't have it... in fact, I have gone to the movies JUST to get it sometimes until I found out I could just go in and get some to go. lol
I don't eat very many things, in fact NOTHING in large quantities..... but popcorn, especially the movie kind, I can flat put that away.
My husband bought me one of these here, in fact, because I am such a popcorn freak. and wow, do I ever love that thing. I use it at least 3 times a week. lol popcorn popper large like. lol
HE was being smart, but it's one of my favorite things he's ever gotten me. lol
