| | | Got myself a Salter 1450 Scale..... This thing is great... I've been using it for fruits and generally anything that doesnt have nutritional info...
even if something DOES have the nutritional info It still easier to use the scale because You dont need to figure out the carbs yourself (serving size etc)
The library of items is huge and it lets you put in your own items as well....
I keep it in the kitchen and when I close it, it looks like a Dell Laptop.
overall I recommend it... I paid around 87 bucks for it. Great Scale!
The other day I even used it to weigh a package I needed to ship as my Stamps.com scale only goes up to 5 lbs
if you want to see pics here's a good site... But you CAN get it cheaper than 99 bucks on the net... Salter 1450 Food Scale / Digital Nutritional Scale - SALT-1450 |

| | | I have seen that scale (or one like it) and am highly impressed with it. If the price wasn't so high I'd get one in a heartbeat. Now, they just need to make one like it that connects to a computer so you can add your own foods and such to it and it would be a superb scale.

| | | Yes my brother got one similar for me called nutriscales, really good, and counts everything carbs, protein, fats, sodium etc. A very handy device to have.

| | | I love my Salter 1450 scale! Bed Bath and Beyond sells them, and they're always sending out those 20% off coupons. My mom bought mine with one of those coupons, and paid ~$80, I think.

| | | I just purchased mine the other day and I love it. I printed the sale price from William-Sonoma.com and took it to Bed, Bath and Beyond and they price matched it for $69.99. That is a great price if any of you are looking. |

That would make it a steal.

| | | I had read somewhere that someone actually price matched and used the coupon, not on the scale though. I also heard that it is hit and miss depending on who you actually talk to at the store. I didn't have the coupon so I wasn't able to try it. |

I did it for my homemade yogurt it is so handy...

Too bad it only holds 6 pounds or so... I like to cook, but often don't have the time, so when I do I make a lot and put most in the freezer.

Does anyone know for certain?

| | | Amazon.com sells them for around $70. They ship super fast too. I'll probably pick one up at Bed, Bath & Beyond with a coupon. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
