Evening snack & FBG's

Hi Everyone!

For the past week I've been trying a small evening snack (usually about 14 grams of peanuts) before bed and I'll be darned it has seemed to have a direct effect on my FBG's the next morning.

I understand the logic but I'm still surprised that it actually works.

Keep testing. Coincidences happen a lot with the D.

The snack thing tends to work for me, for sure. 2 peanut butter on cheese crackers before bedtime, along with a swallow of the Hood's milk and I'm usually good the next morning. When it works, it works!

I'd swear that eating anything after dinner causes my FBG to rise. (I don't know that it's "dawn phenomenon"; it will drop from the time I take my reading to an hour later or so, when I get to work.) My FBG seems to do better, however, if I skip that shortly-before-bedtime snack.

I must admit if I have a snack before bedtime my FBG's are much better in the morning as well. Before they would cycle sometimes high sometimes low. Now I'll have a small piece of cheese and a slice of meat and "voila"! good FBG's!!!!
