which book to get? (GI)

i checked online for books about the "GI diet" and there are so many to choose from, i'm confused... i'm looking for a book that has indepth info on the issues related to diabetes and the GI diet, but also for a list or index of the food with their specific amounts of carbs/sugar in them...

anybody know a good book or maybe even 2 books i could look into? i'm also thinking of buying the "track3 electronic diabetes carb counter" from coheso... it has the following stuff:

For an indepth look on diet and glucose control, go to BloodSugar 101.com. You can buy the books "BloodSugar 101, What They Don't Tell you About Diabetes" and a tremendous, complete guide to achieving normal blood sugars: "Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution." on Amazon.com. I bought mine used. Such a minimal investment for such great information!
Regards,
Helen

David Mendosa's site also has GI lists and, I suspect, book reviews as well.

The Glycemic Index website (The Glycemic Index)
has a book called
The New Glucose Revolution:
Low GI Guide to Diabetes
(Aust and NZ)
or THE DIABETES & PRE-DIABETES HANDBOOK.
(US and Can)
There are sample pages on the website and I assume some reviews on Amazon.
( I haven't read it myself)
They also produce up to date GI tables.
