Protein bars

Does anyone have a favorite protein bar that is low carb? I work out pretty vigorously and I like the quick snack feeling after a workout.

some of the snicker marathon bars aren't bad, i like the dark choc crunch. its got 22 carbs, 7 of those are fiber, so its 15 net carbs and 11 gr of protein. its hard to find good tasting low carb ones, most high protein ones i have found have 30-40 grams of carb in them, its a shame

I prefer the Clif builder's bars. 100% organic, 20g protein, 30g carbs. I also like the South Beach Diet protein bars. 4/7 days of the week this and a yogurt is my bfast.

I use to eat protein bars....and the best protein bar i've seen that has no sugars and lower carbs than most other kinds of protein bar has an ingredient in it that is not good for your health....

So I stopped eating them....I now eat bran crackers w/ Natural organic peanut butter to replace protein bars.....the organic peanut butter is much better than other peanut butters, has no sugar, low carbs like 7 gms, and good protein I can seem to tolerate thin amounts spread over a few pieces of bran crackers....tastes great as well....

My husband swears by the Detour bars. They make a low sugar one too.

Look for the episode of Good Eats starring Alton brown called power trip. My be on You Tube or Hulu. He had some good power bar recipes that were around 15 to 25 grams a bar but high in fiber and protien. One of them you could have lowered the carb count alot by elimanating or lowering the amount of dried fruit he put in.
