Wow! What an extensive study! I've had excellent results with bsl's by reducing my carb intake in general. I've been trying to eat more low GI foods but will now try harder! I've also found another helpful study about the glycemic index and timing of bolus insulin. It might have already been posted here, I'm not sure. It's at
www.childrenwithdiabetes.com. If you scroll down to presentations on the left and then click on "Strike the Spike -- Strategies for Combatting After Meal Highs", you will find a wealth of information. According to this author, if you're eating a low GI meal and your bsl is within the target range, you should take your fast-acting bolus 15-20 minutes after the meal. Has anyone tried this?
