Thumbs up

Yes, I had it at a party (thrown by a type 2) a few weeks ago. It's a pretty good imitation of the real thing.

I still prefer Frescaritas with a sprinkle of salt and a squeeze of key (Mexican) lime.

Yup, I have posted a few times about Baja Bob's margarita mix. I actually don't like the margarita mix as much as the sweet and sour mix to make wonderful margaritas.

Fresca and Tequilla? Maybe a touch of Triple Sec?

I make it with Fresca, a tube of Crystal Light lemonade mix & a shot of tequila.

I have one of these "Frescaritas" 4 - 5 evenings a week. We (diabetics) have so few guilt-free pleasures. This is probably my favorite one.

Glad to be of assistance Granny!

Hey, I have a question. Does Fresca have a different brand equivalent? Fresca and lemonade create a near perfect margarita flavor but sometimes I can't find Fresca at the store.

Sounds tasty, but when I am drinking something like margaritas, I drink so few or do it so rarely, I want the real thing. I normally am more of a fan of simpler drinks too. I love my gin and diet tonic or rum and diet coke.

It IS tasty, and if I didn't mix 'em myself, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

BTW, diet tonic & diet coke are the "real thing", eh - but Fresca doesn't make the cut? Funny stuff.

and, Steve? I have trouble finding it too sometimes . . . so if anyone knows a reasonable substitute, please tell!
