I had the OMM, they seem to work for me, bumps me about 20 points, otherwise I make an egg white omelet with cheese. When I know I will be home all week, I make a quiche ( no crust) & microwave a slice every morning.

My breakfast was my one-egg omelet with mozzarella cheese & chopped fresh asparagus.

Lunch was tossed salad with pine nuts & sunflower seed kernels.

Same most days for me.
3 egg cheddar omelet, sausage patty or bacon, 12 or 16oz latte, lots of pills

Latte (half caf, SF flavoring) gives me about 20-30 points up -- and back to normal by lunch time unless I add half a lo carb (no sugar) choc chip muffin as I do occasionally. Then the 20-30 up lasts right until lunch (unless I exercise).

Breakfast was 1/2 cup scrambled Egg Beaters and two waffles with Promise and Agave nectar.

Thank you again Shanny for mentioning the nectar!

BG at awakening was 157--it's always like that after fasting. As usual an hour later it was up to 177. Bolused 25 units Novolog. Breakfast was 60 net carbs--I must find low-carb waffles that don't taste like cardboard! One hour PP was 160. Two hour PP was 100. Then it usually stays normal or slightly hypo the remainder of the day. Medicare will pay for diabetes management classes with a CDE beginning the week of November 9th. It's so stupid, but they make everyone wait one month post-discharge before paying for classes that are really needed upon being discharged.

This batter makes low-carb waffles & they're delicious!

8 oz cream cheese, beaten until smooth
3 eggs
1/2 cup low-carb baking mix (I use Carbquik)
1/2 tsp. Splenda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 cup buttermilk

Bake in pre-heated waffle iron until medium brown.

I should have mentioned I'm the kind of cook who can burn water. It doesn't turn to steam, it turns into this sticky black gunk on the bottom of the pan.

Learning to make scrambled eggs was one of the biggest adventures of my life. Generally, if I can't toast it or nuke it I eat out.
