I just came back from the grocery store and CANNOT find Da Vinci syrups here in Canada. Are Walden Farms the equivalent. Dr. B advocates the Davinci brand and even gives recipes at back of book (with the syrups included in some of them)Walden Farms is the only carb- free salad dressings. jams and syrups I could find.Although these products have more chemicals in them than I usually eat, I figured they may take off the edge when I have a bad craving.. and they are sugar-free, carb free, so can still be eaten if I want to lose weight .Unless the marketing is incorrect..not sure???

Some of their products are tasty, and some are not. My personal favorite is the Balsamic dressing. The worst in my opinion is the marshmallow creme. The chocolate syrup is good in some recipes, but not great by itself. The jellies taste ok even though they don't look so good.

When I used some of their products, I never noticed a rise in bg, so I'm assuming the marketing is correct!

The caramel dip is disgusting. It's really a line where you have to try the product in question, because some are good and some are not.

DaVinci's is available online, as is Torani (another brand of flavored syrups that has a lot of SF ones).

The only good thing about the Walden Farm products I've tried are all those zeros on the nutrition label and the convenience of the individual packets of salad dressing. The creamy bacon and honey dijon salad dressings were gross and seemed to me like thickened flavored water. It really just doesn't amount to anything. Bad flavor too. The look of the chocolate dipping sauce is very appealing. I thought it would be great with sliced apples, but it's just sort of meh okay tasting and not satisfying. It's too expensive to be so disappointing. I'm going to stick with oil and vinegar dressing and skip the fake choc sauce.

I've found the Walden Farm dressings, especially the: Thousand Island, Honey Dijon and Balsamic Vinegar to be real tasty considering all those zeros. I love lots of dressing on my daily salads so these dressings have been my savior.

If you have a Cost Plus World Market in your area, they carry the Torani syrups. I used to order my DaVinci syrups online until I happened stroll into the Cost Plus in my neighborhood and saw the Torani syrups in the food section. They have a good number of SF varieties also - Vanilla, French Vanilla, Almond Roca, Hazelnut, etc.

Google thelowcarbgrocery they are in Canada (TO I think) I have used them and had no probs.. They sell just about everything.. get a move on if you want the syrups as in the winter the bottles break cos of freezing.

The Torani SF Coffee syrup is my fave of any in my world...

The DaVinci gingerbread one is mighty fine too...

Yes definitley visit the Low Carb Grocery website. I have been ordering my low carb stuff from them for years. They do have just about everything. Turnaround times are very quick, shipping is resonable and prices are really not that bad.
I do enjoy the Walden Farms dressings, the raspberry jam is pretty darn good and I have been mixing the chocolate dip with my flax muffins and also PB2. By itself it's not so great but when you add it to other ingredients it's pretty good. I really enjoy their pancake syrup. It's good in the flax muffins too.
I have been using the hazelnut and french vanilly Davinci syrups and love them.

I LOVE Walden Farms pancake syrup, and it's the ONLY sugar-free "maple" syrup I've found that does not contain sugar alcohols.

I have multiple flavors of DaVincis sf syrups - I use them to flavor protein shakes. My favorites are toasted marshmallow and white chocolate.

Thanx for the tip Jill, I have NEVER SEEN the toasted marshmallow or white choc flavors of Walden Farms products. About adding it to a protein shake. I wanted to have a shake, thinking it would serve me better whilst TRYING to lose weight than the nuts I have been having. However, DR. B warns against foods with hidden carbs and fillers, my protein shake has ingredients that I can't even pronounce how do I know if it has hidden carbs?? Why wouldn't Dr.B just suggest protein shakes so that we would have something to snack on.?

Nono, the toasted marshmallow and white chocolate are DaVinci sf syrups, not Walden Farms.

I don't follow Dr. B - never read his book or anything. I just choose a protein powder that is high in protein and low in total carbs (I don't mess with "net" carbs). I do use an unflavored protein powder, as they have fewer mystery ingredients since they're not trying to make it taste like something it isn't, and then I just add the sf DaVinci syrups for flavor.

You can buy the Torani syrups at Second Cup. I've never tried any of the syrups of any brand so I can't comment on how they taste... just a thought if you don't want to pay for shipping through the Low Carb Grocery.
