| | | Would you go to the doctor over this? I have a cyst about an inch across on the inside of my thigh. It's red, but only where the bump is, and sore, but only when I touch it. Should I be concerned? Is it ok to wait these things out? Anyone know how to tell the difference between a cyst and a inflammed lymph node? |

| | | It might be worth it to find a Nurse Practitioner to go to just for things like this.
They are a WHOLE LOT cheaper than Drs. and, generally, are more in-tuned with their patients.

| | | Ok, time is the main issue. I have today off from the camp I work at, but go back tomorrow morning. My doctors office is closed today, so unless I want to go to doctor near camp, who I don't know, urgent care center is my only choice. |

That's what I do if I get blisters and it seems to work. |

| | | Are you sure it isn't a boil? I used to get them all the time, when I had little or no control of my BS. They would get huge and sore, then drain, and leave a big hole. When I finally showed my doctor, I got a big lecture about diabetes and boils. After the trouble I had from the "tiny" cut on my leg got so infected, I will always check things out if there is the tiniest doubt.

| | | I had two little cysts, both on my back. They came out just like that, almost over night, but not at the same time. The first one didn't bother me much. Until it got infected for some reason. I had it removed. The second one was catching in my clothes all the time and it got infected 3 times. Got rid of the infection with antibiotics, each and every time... although the 2nd time it got so infected and red and sore I had to wear my trousers very low or very high. Not very practical when at work! If I ever get another one I'll have it removed before it gets infected because it seems they all do in my case. Eventually.
Have it checked and see medical advice. I would get rid of it. |

| | I have a similar issues :dito:. I've been hoping that it was going to go away, but it hasn't . I would advise you to go get checked out- at least for your own peace of mind

| | | Funny, it might be wise to be checked & find it's nothing, rather than go unchecked & encounter an issue down the line....I have something on the right back side of my neck, and was concerned.....went to the doctor, and he told me to observe it for now. He did say that if it grows bigger, to come back & get further checks done....Guess I'll play the "waiting game" for now, but due to its location, I was/am concerned.
