Team meeting

I had my monthly phone call from my insurance diabetic
team nurse today. She was pleased with my progress, but says I can do better. I know I can, but I sure work hard and deprive myself, now. I have cut my carbs to 100/ 150 a day. I try to get more exercise, but some days just have too much pain. I think my A1C will not be as good this time, because my morning levels are not so good, averaging 145. I know I have had almost daily lows, but have had a few close to 300. I am working harder than ever at it, but just cannot get the numbers down. The nurse is sending me home tests for Urine, Cholesterol and A1C, because my doctor doesn't really want to send them my test results. I could insist, but I like my doctor. It might be interesting to have the home tests anyway. This time, the nurse spoke very good English.

Hang in there Penny. We all know some days are better than others. You're working hard and that's what it's all about!

What's most important is how you feel you are doing, not so much the nurse. Your opinion should matter most. To me, it sounds like you ard doing a great job ... so don't belittle the hard work and effort you put in! We're proud of you

Keep it up
