This thread is probably in my top-5 favorite threads!

Spike, as far as the recumbent bike, I bought one from Costco (because a person can return it easily if it breaks in 3 years and you think it's a defect in the product). I really like it because it because I've been out of the biking world for many years, and didn't want to struggle with "bikers seat." With my normal bike, I'd feel pretty sore and be walking kind of funny (although with a few weeks of training, that would supposedly go away). I also feel like it's less back stress -- a lot less.

And, you can hang more clothes on it than an upright bike!

Yeah, you gotta love Costco's return policy. Same thing with Bed Bath & Beyond.

I've got one of the newer seats with a depression down the middle to relieve pressure on...well...you know.

Seeing that I am a plumber and we often need to layout bathrooms or sometimes spare rooms where heat is needed, I have a couple ideas for you.

To gain as much space as possible, here are my two option. A 10x12 room isn't that big.

You can see below I place the bar against the bathroom wall. The bar can simply be kitchen cabinets with a bar sink on one end and TV on the other end. In the photo I have the TV near the door but, I think the sink would go better there and have the TV near the outside wall. You can have the fridge under the counter. Also you see I placed a couch and a treadmill behind that.

While I have the sink against the bathroom wall it really isn't that great unless you have the bathroom sink right behind where the bar sink would go. Don't get me wrong it still will work good, it would be easier this way.

Option two here may be your best bet to gain even more space. Remove your closet doors and put your bar in the closet. Your plumbing would now come from the laundry room. Just pipe it across, every easy. Now in the room you can add a bofelx system or what ever.
