First of all, I think Dr. Phil is full of you-know-what.

If a supplement w/ help you lose weight, then it's got some sort of stimulant in it to speed up your metabolism, which isn't healthy. The best way to lose weight (and I struggle w/ this issue myself) is to eat healthy food, smaller portions and/or excercise on a daily basis.

Don't forget: he wants to sell you something.

HeatherP, NOT Dr. Phil, Surely. He's not trying to become Famous and RichER. All he cares about is helping people--that is His Reward

He's a Great, HuMungous, Pompus Jerk that is so full of himself that he stinks like what Texas Long-horn cattle leave behind.--Oh, yeah, He Wants To Sell You Something.

I promise not to be so bashful next time.

tkhan01,

there is only one way to lose weight, ( I was also a coach for many years, before I learned better). That is to do Push-Backs.
You know, where you Push-back from the table and then go and do some Reasonable exercise. No Pain-No Gain is just so much Horse Hocky. Get into a rhythm and routine that works for you to lose Aprox. 1-2 lbs per week--make it something you enjoy, or better yet, make it several things you enjoy and switch from one to the other--less boring and more healthful using different muscles and muscle groups.

Oh man you guys burst my bubble!! Dr. Phil is one of those?! And here I saw him as such a philanthropist...my faith in mankind is destroyed!
And if you believe that I've got some oceanfront property in Arizona for sale so put in your bid... :smartass:

...Hey, his son's a cutie though!

Seriously though, I've never used any of his products although I do think that he's got the right idea for the mental state required to lose and maintain weight. Supplements are used to replace any nutritional goodies that may be lost easily while trying to lose weight and thus muscle mass is lost easily as well and not long down the road one's gaining all of the weight back; I just don't see the need to spend money on a brand name like this when you can go to any health or drug store and get significantly less expensive supplements that may be more tailored to individual needs and not average body types. But hey that's just me.
