| | | High bg indicates that your cells are not absorbing the glucose in your system. If you are not overeating, then I would assume this would be detrimental too all your cells including your muscles. Insulin may be needed... |

| | HIGH BLOOD SUGARS cause A LOT of problems. Stumping your muscle growth shouldnt really bother U in comparison to everything else it can cause.
There is a lot of info on this.... Bodybuilding.com - Planet Muscle - Understanding Glycerine!

| | | You may want to get your testosterone level checked. They are often low in diabetic men. |

| | Inadequate insulin would inhibit muscle growth. Which the begs the question, why are your numbers high. Is it because of excessive carb consumption or because you aren't using enough insulin?
I would also suggest getting your BG into the target range before you try and build muscle. Exercise further destabilises poor control. You need to build on a solid platform. And it needs to be based on stable blood sugar.
I was only able to achieve this by cutting right back on the carbs. And I was pleasantly surprised that workouts don't affect my BG by anywhere nealy as much as they did when on a high-carb way of eating. Don't fall into the carbo-loading trap. For some debate on this, visit Low Carb Muscle - LowCarbMuscle.com |

| | You must be feeling really tired! Sounds like your insulin regimen needs to be reviewed. Non diabetics carbo-load before and/or after workouts to increase insulin levels. And the anabolic effects of insulin help with muscle growth, amongst other things. But with those kinds of BG numbers, your insulin levels are probably pretty low..... The other problem with running out of insulin is that causes glycogen to be released, sending your BG even higher. I would hold off with the exercise until you get the insulin/BG levels sorted. |

| | LEMS treatment and weightloss Friends,
2 months back I had high volume plasmapherosis followed by 5 x 1000mg methyalpretnesolone injection due to LEMS. The 5 injections are now repeated after an interval of 1 month followed by 60mg tabs every day. 60mg will continue for 10 days to go down to 20mg. I am also takaing 300mg of pyridostigmine every day. Now my weight has come down from 66kg to 61kg. Can any one give me some clue pls? |

| | | sudha, I hope you get some answers, but I'm not sure we can help much here with that kind of question.
Being a diabetes forum most of our collective experience is based around diabetes issues.
Asking the doctors about the weight loss would be my first move. Looking for LEMS resources on the net might be a good move too, sorry I can't help you with that.
