Going crazy...infection?

Yep, resident crazy person here...

Eri stayed home again today...her throat, stomach...she's, well, no fever really, but sweating profusely.
I spoke to her endo a few times already and we have to get her to eat b/c the ketones are basically starvation ketones. Problem is, she is so stubborn, it hurts her to eat, and what's even MORE annoying is even water hurts for her to drink.
I sometimes feel as though what little of my mind I MAY have left is going to just decide to go on vacation w/o telling me where.

I had to work b/c my husband can't work more than 2-3 hours and he loses all strength(he has to get over this thing where the pnuemonia may be "gone" but his body needs to heal)...geesh.

So, I sent him out to get Eri some sugary drinks(endo's orders)...and ANYTHING she will eat(nacho cheese chicken chalupa...she's a **** chalupa)...now to just pray she eats it and drinks b/c if not, then we have to go to the hospital AGAIN.
The endo wants us to call the ENT this morning(wow, after midnight already) and go from there b/c she is suspecting a possible infection from all the biopsies they took.
Also, they need to fax the school a paper stating that she isn't feeling well b/c the school gave me a bit of an issue today w/ her missing. All this girl is doing is sleeping and complaining of discomfort. I feel like a total loser b/c I can't make her feel better. I wish I could take away her pain, take away all this that she goes through.
All she is doing is yelling at me and pushing me away...at least I have given her the right insulin dosage to get her from the 500's to 199...and that was w/o eating...she did finally manage some slightly toasted bread and a few sips of water.

I'm going to shut up, since I see that I am a non-stop typing moron.

Sorry!
Thanks for listening!

Can Eri manage ice pops and ice cream? If so at least they will slide down her throat.
Hope she is feeling better soon.

aww Poor Eri, and you too!! I know that feeling you're having about your mind going on vacation not telling you where! That's how my life has been lately, altho for completely different reasons!

Tell the school to kiss your a$$!! Tell them to come live Eri's life for just one HOUR and maybe they'd have a change of mindset! UGH Schools pi$$ me off! All they're concerned about is the almighty $ they get for her attendance! pppshhhh

I know how you're hubby is feeling too!! Been there done that, more times than I'd like to count!!

I'm keepin y'all in my thoughts and prayers still!!

Don't ever say that you are sorry for being a loving parent. You are handling soo many issues now and yet you keep plugging along taking care of everybody else. I know that we can't physically help you but always know that you guys are in our hearts and our prayers.

Thanks all...
I had to take her to the ER today bc her ENT wanted to make sure they didn't puncture her esophogus(they didn't).
Oh, the one endo who gave me a hard time last week was really nice today, told me I was doing everything possible and I know(knew) what I am(was) doing...etc...that was nice of her to say...

I'm a bit disappointed w/ the care at the hospital(or lack thereof)...
No ENT, no endo...they sent us up alone for an xray(fine, we know our way there anyway)...then they came in the room when we got back from radiology so they could hook her up to saline and then left us there and then came in an hour after her bag was empty and said, go home...I was like, wait, what about the xrays?(they never even tested her urine for ketones)...and they sent a doc in to say "clear"...just esophogitis and CP from surgery. Whatever. They ALMOST forgot to take out the IV...again.

So, I went right from the hospital to work, her dad was at the pizzeria, and I worked until about 30 minutes ago.
She's sound asleep, bgl's have been in the 2/300's and low ketones and she still can't eat or drink well, (and she's not doing well w/ the popsicles either)...

So, that's my long winded update.

I work again tomorrow til close b/c her dad can't.
I know pneumonia very well, too. It's no fun and it takes forever. The last time I had double pneumonia it took me from the very beginning of November until sometime in February to heal(ok, so I had chicken pox on my lungs as well...lol)...

OK...I'm shutting my sorry, tired, annoying hands up!

Thanks for listening...

*BIG HUGZ*

Don't EVER think you are being annoying!!! You NEED to vent, else you're gonna EXPLODE!!! You are going thru a sh*tload of stuff!!! If anyone has a problem with it, then well, they have NO heart or soul, and it's THEIR problem!!! They don't wanna read it, well nobody is forcing them too!! Something more to their liking is just a click away!!!

I don't even know how you do it!! I've been to **** and back with other stuff in my life, and I can't even fathom the **** you've been thru hun!!! I admire your strength SO much!!! You are one **** of a woman!!!

I'm SO sorry to hear of your experience at the hospital, and I TOTALLY understand it! My sis is in the hospital right now and O.M.G. some of the treatment she has had is just incomprehensible!! There WILL be people talked to and letters written!! You may need to do the same!! Don't hesitate!!!

Continued prayers!!!!

My goodness! I'm sorry things haven't improved... I think recovery can take a while, especially with having Diabetes if it isn't under control. But hopefully, she'll start coming around and feeling better soon.

In the meantime, I hope that you take care or yourself... You taking care of everyone, don't neglect yourself. The last thing you need is to get sick now... you have a lot of people who need you.

So please send our get-well wishes on to Eri & continue to keep us updated

You guys are so inspiring...thank you!

Ah...yesterday was just a wreck...Eri actually went w/ me to help me pick out the right Bratz doll for her sister's friends bday party...Eri hates being away from me lately...odd.(the kid, in her sleep, jabbed me pretty hard in the jaw when I went to wake her the other night when I got home...she doesn't remember a thing)...Anyhow, she didn't last too long while out, which is ok...she went home after she ate a small baked potato(it was something!)...helped her throat...and I got her to drink water...yea!
That was at the restaurant...I ended up staying to work(til close) and my dad drove her and Elle home and brought my son up.(bad timing b/c that's when all **** broke loose w/ tempers from a total of 4 workers for the day not showing up). Picture an old-timer Sicilian(my fil) and me bashing heads, well, I was respectful and let him go all pazzo, but I was beyond fuming.
My husband called me at some point telling me that Eri was being unbearable, miserable, just downright nasty...had to MAKE her take her sugar...which was 599....slight to moderate ketones. He was like, Rob, she was so mean it really hurt my feelings...as I'm saying ...BUCK UP man! Geez...welcome to my life! When I got home after midnight, I made her come into my room to check her sugar and she was sweet as pie. (she's nice to me b/c she wants to go shopping).

Today she has been a lot better. Woke up this morning w/ a reading of 130, and she's been doing good all day. She's up to her eyeballs in homework but they should give her time to catch up. She has the whole Thanksgiving break to catch up, right?

OK, so I babbled again. A week from tomorrow she goes for the ph probe and she's not looking forward to that...too bad...and we get her results from the biopsies.

Thanks for listening!
