They moved up her dosage again

Hi again...
I called in Eri's numbers this morning(do every Friday morning), and the CDE moved up her lantus again(last week, the chief of endo did, from 24-27 units)...now they moved her up 4 more units to 31units of lantus at dinner. They, of course, kept her on the 1:15 carb ratio for meals and on the 40 correction bolus...
This is the CDE who is normally really short w/ me, but she was really nice this time and told me that I was doing a great job and to keep up the good work(I about passed out w/ those words from her!).

So, hopefully, on Tuesday when we go for her appt., we can set up a date to get things moving faster w/ the pump. She is through the advanced carb counting class (twice) and now just waiting for the action part.

OK, I'm shutting up!

Robin, maybe she was out on a date the night before.. lol

Thats good that She is paying more attention to Eri's needs. I have a strong feeling she will find a good dose where she can achieve better control. Keep up the ranting,,,,

LOL...maybe she actually WAS...lol...or, it is her vacation coming up starting after her day is over today!lol...I was absolutely taken by surprise w/ her praise...lol.

Yeah, I'm hoping this is a good dosage for her until she gets on the pump.
I know the pump isn't a cure all, but at least it's trying out something new to see how that goes, know what I mean?

Watch that she doesn't go low on the higher dosage of Lantus. If she may have had a hypo induced seizure the other night, you may want to check her a couple times in the wee hours...
