Chocolate cake with a kick!

I was at a Christmas party last night when I was asked if I would like chocolate cake. Before I could answer that I could not eat that much sugar, I was handed a shot glass and a lemon with sugar on it. I took the shot and then bit into the lemon with the sugar. OMG.....it WAS chocolate cake. I have never tasted anything like it. AMAZING

If you want the receipe, here it is.......

Put a bottle of Vanilla Absolut Vodka in the freezer for about an hour and a half.

In a shot glass fill it 3/4 of the was full of vodka.
Float a thin layer of Frangelica on the top

cut up lemons and dip in granulated sugar

Then shoot and eat the lemon

WOW

Candy Bar

1 oz kahlua
1 oz cream
1/2 oz creme de cacao (tastes like vanilla frosting)
1/2 oz Frangelica

Nancy, I'll have to add your recipe to my list of stuff to make on Christmas. My family loves all different types of shots and I'm sure they would get a kick out of that one.

EDIT* I guess I should add to blend all together and then add the cream. Serve with ice.

pinkytricia, you and I posted a the same time. My comment was about the "chocolate cake" drink. It is weird that you can drink cold vanilla vodka with hazelnut liquer and then take a bit of lemon with sugar, yet taste chocolate cake! It is a lingual illusion.

Well, I see I was confused here, anyway. Who was I talking to? When was I talking to whom? I can't even use having overindulged in "chocolate cake" as my excuse. Somebody just tell me if the chocolate cake effect works if it is Splenda on that lemon wedge!

All this is, is a miss-use of vocabulary so someone can get drunk and hide they fact that they are drinking.

The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shakin' hands, sayin' "How do you do?"
They're really saying "I love you"

Funny... I had a blackforest cake not long ago...

1/3 oz cherry whiskey
2/3 oz Swiss chocolate almond liqueur
6 oz hot chocolate

Mix in Martini glass, top with whipped cream. Garnish with a cherry and chocolate sprinkles, or shaved white chocolate...

Really does taste like a blackforest cake...

Ah heck Carwy, I only had one. I was far from drunk. It was a nice way to have "chocolate cake" without the blood sugar issue!
