Question Any Book and Magazine Recommendations?

Hi, Everyone --

I just found out I have diabetes last month and was wondering if you all have any books and magazines you could recommend for learning more.

Thanks,
Jill

The Diabetic Diet by Dr. Bernstein...or Dr. Bernstein's Diabetic Solution. Whether you follow his suggestions or not, it is a good book(s) to explain what's going on inside your body with diabetes.

Janis Roszler just had a book come out "Diabetes on your own terms", and Gretchen Becker has one '1st year with diabetes", I think these are the correct names of the books..And yes Diabetes for dummys is a great one...my library is growing but I really enjoy these 3...also there is a book counting carbs for Diabetes which is good to have

Hi Jill and Welcome.

I pick up the magazine, Diabetic Living. It's pretty good.

Haven't read this one. It's next on my list. Picked it up at the library my last visit, so not recommending it, other than to note it is new.

Cheating Destiny, by James S. Hirsch, 2006, Houghton Mifflin

This Forum is an excellent place to learn, and to ask questions.
