Auto-Ject 2 Review

Hey everyone, I was recently taken off glucophage and put onto insulin. I hate needles, have since my sister tortured me about them as a child, saying when nurdes give them to you they use rusty old needles, and just STAB them in. Well ive gotten over that a little, just enough to let someone else give me shots or do blood test, so being told I have to take 4-5 shots a day was a really frightening concept to me, so I posted on this site asking about alternative injection devices, I was told about an Auto-Ject 2 by Owen Mumford, it was affordably priced online from 35$-45$, so I decided to look for one localy, found one at a pharmacy localy for only 37$ so we went and picked it up. Heres some info on what its like, from my observations and what ive learned from using it.

Its about 8 inches long, comes apart in the middle, and comes with a carrying case. To use it you simply unscrew the two main parts, cock the spring loaded part, then just put a loaded syringe in it, screw them together again and adjust the depth according to what needle you use(the instructions can tell you what you need to do about that). once your ready to inject yourself you pinch your skin, press the auto-ject 2 against your skin and press the button, it inserts the needle and injects the medicine at the same instant, and your done.

This is really a great product for those of us who are afraid of needles, or feel a bit nervous when giving ourselves shots. Its also advertised for children and older people who have a little shake in their hands or not so great vision.

I highly reccomend this to anyone who uses syringes on a regular basis or just dosent like inserting the needle themselves.

http://www.owenmumford.com/ - The manufacturer's homepage. They have very useful on-phone support.

Hope this helps a lot of you out, I know that finding it has helped me avoid a lot of tension and stress caused by injections.

Say you'll share with
me one
love, one lifetime . . .
Lead me, save me
from my solitude . . .

Say you want me
with you ,
here beside you . . .
Anywhere you go
let me go to . . .
Christine,
that's all I ask of . . .
