Lightbulb Meter for loading straight to computer

I would really like to get hold of a meter that can load results onto a computer. Can you guys recommend one?
I was looking at Diabuddies, an I saw that thye use the freestyle.
Any Nzers on here know if we can get those here?

the ultra smart also uses the same technology and you can download all your reading. Don't know if you can get them where you are though

I just started using the software to download results from my OneTouch Ultra 2's to my computer. It is very easy to use and the reports are easy to understand and print. I purchased the software and cable for $30 from Drugstore.com

I've wanted this for ages! We don't have so many options here in NZ, only two meters to chose from. The advantage meter that most of us have is the best supported - some chemists have the program to get the info off it, and I think you can buy the software and use it at home.

Last time I saw my DNE she downloaded a weeks worth of info from my meter - was neat to have the info but I wasn't that impressed by the setup. Still want to be able to do it myself! For now I'm just using an excel file and entering it all in manually (bore!)

I know both the Flash and the Ultra line of meters can be downloaded. Diabuddies is currently working on accepting Ultra meters. The creator just had a hard time because Lifescan is pretty tight with their coding for their meters so it's taking forever to decode the useful info from the useless.

I have the same meter. You can buy the the Accu-Chek Compass software from Roche in Acukland or a pharmacy anywhere in the country. It comes with a cable for loading readings directly onto the computer through a USB port. The software produces nifty graphs and charts. When I visit the endo, I update the database and simply print off the one-page summary.

I have an Accu-Chek Complete and it uses the same strips as the Advantage. When I bought them, they came with the program and cable. I could send those items to you. I can't swear that the program will work for the Advantage but it looks to me like there should be a fairly good chance that it would.

One end of the cable plugs into a USB port on your comuter. The other end fits into the calibration chip slot at the back of the meter. The machine stores up to 480 readings, complete with time and date. For more details and to watch a demonstration, go here :

I was looking at that link and it says that the cable is universal and the software works for:
• ACCU-CHEK Compact Plus
• ACCU-CHEK Aviva
• ACCU-CHEK Active
• ACCU-CHEK Advantage
• ACCU-CHEK Compact
• ACCU-CHEK Complete
So fellow Nzers: Wherecan I get the cable from in NZ?

I got mine directly from Roche in Mt Wellington. Their number is 0800 80 22 99. You will also be able to get it from any pharmacy.

check out the meter's site and as Jill posted - check out drugstore.com. I like the One touch Ultra's program since you can also add in your blood pressure readings, carbs per meals, etc. The freestyle program is also nice - reports a little more fancy looking which I had at first but I can do more with the One touch
