I went to the Diabetes Medications and the Role of the Pharmacist presentation, and it was a total waste of time.

Some of the other presentations look real interesting.

HA....NOT...

And I live just outside of T.O. But I'll make the trip. You'd think there'd be at least one native T.O.er though...weird. We've got 'peggers', Brunswickers, Ottawanians, I think a Querbecker, a BCer for sure, but no one from T.O. direct eh? Sad if I'm the only GTA representative. Maybe there are no diabetics in Canada's largest city?

Yeah, I've seen a "role of the pharmacist" presentation before...frankly, other than giving me my meds, they aren't always the most important in the health care line. Telling me that I can go LOW with Insulin twice a month is pretty useless..LOL

I could possibly make it, but I don't think it's worth a 2 hour drive from Buffalo. I just don't see anything that thrilling on the schedule.

It's really frustrating looking at directions to Toronto. Without having to drive around 2 Great Lakes, I'm sure it would only take 45 minutes.

Canoe!

It's actually a shame you aren't getting William Polansky as a speaker. I would drive two hours to see him again (he was in Ottawa), and I don't want to speak for her, but I'm sure belyro would agree as she saw him in Winterpeg.

That's a big 10-4 good buddy.

Polonsky was GREAT!

Uh, Buffalo, you don't have to drive through or past two great lakes really. You just, and I mean this literally, have to drive around the curve/side of Lake Ontario. Buffalo is only an hour away from my place. Anywho, that's alright. I'm just going to see what's out there. I'm not really going for the workshops. I don't have shaky leg sleep syndrom and I don't need to know how pharmacists play a role in passing me medicine from over a counter. I'm going to see the trade show stuff, see other diabetics (like it's a zoo full of them...and I'm now in the monkey club).

Now ladies and gentleman, in this cage over here is the nearly extinct Type 1 diabetic syringe user! A rare and elusive breed........

And over here we have a Gangrelitus Maximus. Watch as he uses all his fingers and toes to count the carbs he's about to eat! So intelligent! We have even taught him to use silverware instead of eating off the floor!
