| | I had a bad dream In my dream, I had just been shot, and I remember grabbing my wife as I laid down on the bed, telling her I was dying. Then, I realized I was having a bad dream, woke up shaking, tested, I was 4.1, but really shaking. Figured I was going low so I treated myself with some glucose tabs (Ewwww, I HATE eating those things in the middle of the night). Felt better in a few. Weird. I have heard here on the DF of others who have said they have bad dreams when they go low, so, I can only guess that's what this was about. Very odd..

| | | Yes, horrible dreams always involving untrustworthy people who are out to get me, and bordering on the bizarre when I'm really low. It hasn't happened in years, fortunately, but I remember well. |

| | | I have what I call "Insulin Dreams", because I usually have them when I need insulin. I think it is my body's way of telling me I should get up and take care of things. They almost always involve me running out of insulin and the stores are all closed or not being able to find my insulin. Usually if I am low, I get so sick, I wake up. Don't need to have a dream then.

| | As most, I've had too many weird dreams
through the yrs. due to low blood sugar.
The one that always stays not far from me
is the one where I'm in this huge, high-ceiling
gray warehouse. It must be night because I
don't see any rays of light(perhaps no windows)
and I'm wearing a long, white, flimsy nightie.
Anyways, I'm walking Very slowly barefoot and
my heart is racing really fast. All across the whole
ceiling(about 4" apart) are long, thin sharp(just like
razor blades)panes of glass. I'd say about 5,000
of them. I of course, am walking Very cautiously
hoping not to disturb the fine lines that are holding
them up. If one fell, then many would and I'd be
quite successfully sliced and diced.
Luckily nothing fell, and I woke up with a 2.2 blood
sugar. That dream was about 5 yrs. ago.
Definitely a dream of vulnerability. I really hate feeling
vulnerable at any time. And that's what low blood sugar
makes me feel sometimes. The End!

| | | That dream has a lot of sybolism embedded in it! Sound like a cool scene to add to a movie too.
Me.. My dream, and I remeber is. I worked hard building an ultralight aircraft. It took a while to get the engine running smoothly. Once I got the engine running well I took off for the skies. I soared up into the sky. When I got up above the clouds I had to go to the bathroom. I woke up from the dream and really had to go to the bathroom. I had that dream 20 years ago and still remember it, |

| | | Never have bad dreams. My hypo dreams are rythmic. I usually fight the rythms. I'd love to meet someone with the same sensations. |

| | | I start to drown in my dreams when I go low. Each time as someone is pulling me out of the water, I wake up all wet from sweat and go treat my low. Being low is the only time I have this dream, and I am low each time I have the dream. Each dream I have someone new pull me out of the water.
I wonder what will happen when I run out of people pulling me out of the water, as from what I remember I have not had the same person pull me from the water in my dream more than once.

| | | Hi Injecto,
I also have dreams when I am going low. The dreams are not really bad ones, but they are always really weird.

I had the same thought about it being a
cool scene in a movie, as well as many of
my dreams when low. Can you imagine if
we collected all the Diabetics weird dreams.
What a lot of Great movies that could be
made.
Probably like most, I also have weird musical
dreams. They are not scary though and
usually not movie-worthy. One I had about
5 mths. ago. I dreamt we were at a Friend's
cottage for a party. The tune "Popcorn",( I
think from the 70's)started playing and a crazy
silver arcade ball(Yes, I like arcade games)started
bouncing around to the music. In the dream,
I was trying to stop the ball from bouncing,
with my mind. Well, that didn't work well. Weird.
Well, I hope that you got that plane off the
ground again with no further interruptions.
That sounds like a Great dream. Flying the
plane part that is.
Sorry about your bad dream Injecto. I sure
hope that you don't have any more like that.
