Sudden decrease in fasting sugars. Ideas?

New here, hoping to find some information about fasting blood sugars. Have had fasting blood sugars of about 165-170 the past 3 months as increasing medicines. Within the last week I've had 2 hypoglycemic reactions (in afternoons pre-dinner) and fasting counts of about 100. No change in meds or exercise.

Anyone have any ideas what can make the body "reset" itself like that? On glucophage and glyburide, but again, the doses have been the same for a few months.

Thanks in advance!

It could be a number of things really. That's the "fun". You said you haven't changed diet or excercise, have you perhaps lost weight in the course of all of that? Losing weight will cut down on IR of course.

Could simply be a metabolic change, which happens more often than you think - especially now it's summer - people often experience changes in bg levels as it gets warmer, for a variety of reasons eg. in T1s, insulin being absorbed more quickly, or for everyone, more physical activity.

Also, if you're newly dxd then it might be a case of the honeymoon period.

It could even be something as simple as how relaxed you feel

Everyone's suggestions are definite possibilites. What kind of long acting insulin are you on? It's possible you may need to decrease it a bit.

Welcome, by the way
