Would like to know who diagnosed Johann Sebastian Bach -lol

We don't know that anyone diagnosed it in his lifetime although it was known and called 'honigsusse Harnruhr' (honey-sweet urine disease.)
People have suggested that he had it because of his sight problems, a drooping eye, tooth loss, his obesity and because a stroke caused his death.
Apparently there was a 'diabetes epidemic' amongst the better off in Europe at the time.
(amazing what you can discover with Google)
