Question WHY do High BG levels cause Mode/Mood changes ??

WHY do High BG levels cause Mode changes ??

When my BG levels go upwards of say 225+mg/dl, I feel myself becoming real irritated and stressed out. My wife definitely can tell when my BGs are elevated.

What is the physiology behind this ?????

No please, do we have to use physiology?

Simply your brain gets groggy and can't think
properly when it has too much thick glucose in
it.
Don't you get grumpy and tired when someone
else has screwed up their work big time and you
have to over work(no overtime pay) to fix the
problem someone else has made??

I've never really experience highs causing mood changes, just lows. It's kinda listed as a common symptom of lows, but not so much highs. I guess just any disturbance in homeostasis is gonna make you feel crappy and therefore make you grouchy.
