NEW Carbless buns....

Chinese food 'made from cardboard' - CNN.com

Well, this is original...but just imagine the possibilties. No bolusing for a bun anymore....what next.

here's a quote:

""Chopped cardboard, softened with an industrial chemical and flavored with fatty pork and powdered seasoning,

The bun maker and his assistants then give a demonstration on how the product is made.

Squares of cardboard picked from the ground are first soaked to a pulp in a plastic basin of caustic soda -- a chemical base commonly used in manufacturing paper and soap -- then chopped into tiny morsels with a cleaver. Fatty pork and powdered seasoning are stirred in.

Soon, steaming servings of the buns appear on the screen. The reporter takes a bite.

"This baozi filling is kind of tough. Not much taste," he says. "Can other people taste the difference?"

"Most people can't. It fools the average person," the maker says. "I don't eat them myself." ""

I've eaten something like that before. They look like graham crackers or cardboard, and have zero taste to them. The nastiest most boring thing I've ever eaten.

Holy smokes! I thought you were joking, but then I read your link. Doesn't this sound like an article from The Onion or one of those stories that would be passed along in internet forums for years and have its very own investigation on Snopes.com? It's just so weird.

I saw that on the news last night. This guy is in hot water for making his carbless food. He picked the dirty cardboard right off the floor! He made what was equivelant to a fast food hamburger with it. It is a Chinese meat and cardboard hockey puck that is fried.

I am going to puke now.
