Red face Well I have Talked the Talk, Time to Walk Baby.

Many of you know my main goal in life is to find better diabetic technologies and therapies. I have built what I needed to software wise to begin this venture. Now It's time to do the clinical/research side.

Tomorrow I start school. I will be taking a year of undergrad chem classes (and hopefully some music classes) to raise my GPA and then going to medical school.

I was sitting very pretty being a Web/software Architect, making a good six figures. Now I am about to do a 180 on lifestyle. Time to suffer a bit, but my cross is diabetes. I will hopefully be working for the Diabetic Youth Foundation on days I don't have school. I will always be around to serve Diabuddies and the DiabetesForums and hope that these entities become the number one spot on the web for Diabetes.

Congratulations Brian. I know you will do a great job. Doing a 180 in life is not a bad thing. My husband did it thirteen years ago and he has never regretted it. Good for you! :smartass:

I would go to med school if the thought of even making it through this semester wasn't making me want to shoot myself."

Congratulations Brian and good luck with what ever it is you are doing ( I have no idea what a 180 is except a score on the dart board )
I hope you achieve what you set out to do and more.
Best wishes

180 degree turn?
Good luck Brian. You're certainly motivated so that should make things less dificult. How long will it take to qualify?

Congratulations. I did a career change at 40 (from Television Production to Information Science/Technology). Never looked back. It was a lot of work to make the change (went back to school for a Master's), but well worth it. It is important to pursue your passion, and you are lucky to be able to do so. Good luck to you (not that you'll need it).
