Perfect Day

Just wanted to share.

Yesterday I had a perfect Diabetic BG day, really. I define that as one where all my readings are within target and includes NO hypos. I haven't had one of these in over a month. I was surprised when I check out my log.

BB: 4.2
AB: 9.0
BL: 4.8
AL: 8.3
BD: 4.4
AD: 7.3
BBed: 4.8

Haven't been doing so well as of late, (7 and 14 day average is 7.4) so it was good to see this.

Congrats on the perfect day!

Is there a chart somewhere to convert these numbers because I don't understand them at all? I know my most recent A1C was 7.0 and my doctor said that was good by most standards but he wants to see mine at 6.5. I think that 7.0 converts to 120 but am not sure. I see folks with way lower than that talking about having good days....but to me that sounds like they are way too low so I'm just missing something in the conversion I guess.

My goals for fasting are < 100 and after meals is < 160 and I meet those numbers most of the time (although getting the fasting below 100 EVERY day hasn't happened yet, but hits more days than misses.) That would be a perfect day for me as a Type 2.

If you look on the upper left of your screen, you'll find tools..go under this and you'll note a convertor for mg/mmol. Injecto had a fasting of 4.2 (75.6) and never got above 9.0 (162) the entire day...quite an impressive feat! He was speaking of blood sugar levels (calculated in mmol), not A1C. In the US, we use mg, but you'll see several here that use mmol (UK and Canada are two that come to mind).

Just multiply the numbers by 18 and voila...mg/dl

WOW, a TWO DAY STREAK...
from yesterday.

BB: 5.8
AB: 6.3
BL: 5.7
AL: 5.7
BD: 4.3
AD: 9.3
BBed: 5.4

Snuck up a bit high after dinner (I prefer to be below 8, but that just doesn't happen enough)...

And thanks for the high fives guys...I just needed to share a small success. Man, I'm not even a full year into this yet...technically.

You'll see more and more of these days Injecto, and less and less of the worry and fear. I'm happy for you man.
