What Is Byetta?

I often hear diabetics talk about Byetta but I dont' quite understand what it is and how it benefits diabetics. Is it a drug? I've heard of Byetta nurses. I thought they were just an employment agency. Can someone fill me in?

Staceyy, you can learn everything you want to know about Byetta (and possibly a whole lot more) by going to Byetta's website: www.byetta.com.

When my Endo brought up Byetta, he gave me this answer, "It's Gila Monster spit".

Not really true, but the substance was first discovered in Gila Monster spit.
